I love my bed...i'm so glad to be back in it.

we made it home. still very tired. i had a pretty bad headache last night and my neck hurt quite a lot. i didn't get to sleep very much, i couldn't make my back muscles relax. they're still pretty tense. but, we're home, we're alive, we're intact.

pictures of the trip will be posted within the next few days, i think. i'll post a link when they're up.

mainly because all of us have had those kinds of trips that made our beds so, so, so wonderful

You know what is funny? I voted for McCain in 2000 and Obama in 2008. (And let's not forget Edwards in 1998.)

Reminds me of a 6 month cycling trip when I mostly slept in tents, crappy hostel beds and couches (not counting the occasional, shared, comfy bed of someone I'd meet along the way.)

Yay BED!!!! by FlightTest (4.00 / 1) #2 Mon Aug 25, 2008 at 11:07:50 PM EST
Glad you made it home safe.

Too bad I won't get to be in my bed the rest of the week. I got informed at 5pm today I have to be 130 (driving) miles north of here before lunch tomorrow. And I may not be back until Friday afternoon.

I sure am glad this project's so well planned and everyone talks to each other. NOT!

Good to know the desert didn't claim you both... by atreides (4.00 / 1) #3 Tue Aug 26, 2008 at 12:41:55 AM EST
...because that would have sucked having to go out looking for your dry sunbleachead bones and all that rot...

Would have made a really awesome movie though by debacle (2.00 / 0) #4 Tue Aug 26, 2008 at 09:45:13 AM EST
Stand By Me meets Dune meets Fear and Loathing.

Would make an excellent movie.
