On January 12th, I weighed myself and was at a chubby 199.5 lbs.

I decided I would only weigh myself in at the 1st of each month. My goal is to get to around 175 lbs by April 1st.

Yesterday, I weighed myself and was at a still-chubby-but-more-slender 193.5 lbs.

While I'm not accumulating results as quickly as I hoped, I still have reason to be optimistic.

I have a workout regime on Monday-Fridays. I try to run on Saturdays and Sundays but I don't beat myself up too badly if I miss out.

On MWF I have a "cardio bootcamp" at work, which lasts for an hour and is pretty intense. On TThSS I run.

When I first started a couple of weeks ago, I could barely run 1 mile. It was a real effort to do so. Now I can comfortably run 2.5 miles, and I hope to push 3 miles tomorrow or Tuesday. I've also picked up running a little bit (1 to 1.5 miles) after cardio bootcamp on MWF.

So I expect to shed more weight more rapidly now that I am in-shape enough to do more significant running. I think I will stop increasing distance at 3 miles and after that increase the incline (now at 0) and/or speed (now at 6 MPH).

I'm still making good on my no-drinking pledge. Haven't had a sip of booze since Christmas. Although my birthday is in a few days and I might drink then. Haven't made up my mind on that.

Mostly still making good on my no-caffeine pledge. I slipped up once last week and had some Coke. But that's the only time since Christmas I have had any caffeine.

My goal is to be down to 184 lbs by March 1st.

In other news, I had to go in for a biopsy last Thursday. They took out a chunk of my face and I had to get all stitched up. There was a suspicious freckle that they sent to the lab to analyze. I will have to wait a couple of weeks before getting the results. In the meantime, I look like a complete tool because I have to walk around with these bandages on.

Though on the plus side, I went to Denny's last night and noticed my service was much better than typical
